Jaw Crusher Operating Principle
Jaw crushers are heavy duty machines. They are robustly manufactured according to these usages. Jaw crusher consists of a main frame and two plates which move like jaws. Both jaws are adjusted to an intense angle to each other. First jaw is pivoted in such a manner that it moves relatively towards another fixed jaw. The movable jaw plate pivoted at the top on the swing-jaw shaft. In the jaw type of crusher oscillation of pivoted jaw is caused to motion by the action of toggles and pitman, which moves upside and down actuated by the eccentric through the medium of pulleys mounted on the drive shaft.
The swing jaw interferes against the toggles by tension rod and spring. To minimize the periodic character of the load on the oscillating jaw, heavy flywheels are mounted of the drive shaft. Jaw crusher breaks rock only during that half of each oscillation. Movable jaw is placed completely too influencing loads. Material should be fed into the jaw intermittently arrested and discharged to fall from the nipped aperture.
