Raymond Mill Outline

Raymond Mill Application
Raymond mill is mainly applied to the powder processing of mineral products in industries of metallurgy, construction, chemistry, and mining etc. Raymond mill can produce powder from more than 280 kinds of non-flammable and non-explosive mineral materials with Mohs hardness below 7 and humidity below 6%, such as barite, limestone, quartz, calcite, granite, porcelain clay, basalt, gypsum etc. The final size is between 613micron and 440 micron (0.613mm—0.044mm).
Raymond mill grinding material requirements are non-flammable and non-explosive stuff which has the Moh’s hardness below 7, humidity less than 6%.
Raymond Mill Main Components
Raymond mill is collocated with jaw crusher, elevator, electromagnetic vibrating feeder, main unit, classifier, collector, cloth deduster and high-pressure blower and so on.
Raymond Mill Working Principle
Load the stuff for grinding evenly and continuously into the grinding chamber of the main frame. Due to the centrifugal force in rotation, the roller swings go outward and presses closely upon the ring. The shovel carries the stuff to the space between the roller and ring. When the roller rolls, the stuff is thus grinded.
After being grinded, the stuff is to be routed to the classifier along wind belt of the blower and the rough powder will be put back to the grinder for regrinding. The fine powder flows into the cyclone collector together with air flow and is expelled from the powder output pipe as product.
In the grinding chamber, since the stuff contains moisture to some extent, the heat generated during grinding makes the moisture evaporate; since the pipeline joints are not airtight, the external air is sucked in and the circulation air mass increases. In order to enable the grinder to work in negative pressure, the increased air flow is guided to the deduster and sequentially to the atmosphere after purification.

Raymond Mill Repair and Maintenance >>
1. During the application of our Raymond grinding mill, some personnel shall be arranged to take responsibility of management from beginning to end. The operators must be qualified with the required technical knowledge of operating grinding mills. Before the installation of this grinding mill, the persons related to the operation should receive technical training and fully understand the operating principle, performance and regulations of the Raymond mill.
2. In order to guarantee the Raymond mill in a normal working state, a Safety Operation System for the Maintenance of the equipment must be established. Only in this way can the Raymond mill be guaranteed to have a long-term and safe operation. Meanwhile, it is necessary to have the required repairing tools, lubricant and grease, spare parts and accessories during the operation.
3. After some period of running, the Raymond mill should receive an examination and repairing. The components vulnerable to worn out, such as grinding roller, grinding ring, relieving tool etc. should be repaired or replaced. Before and after the operation, a careful examination should be carried out for the connecting screws, bolts and nuts on the grinding rollers so as to find whether they are loose or sufficiently lubricated.
4. When their application time surpassing about 500 hours, all the rolling bearings in the roller sleeves of Raymond mill must be cleaned, and the damaged parts should be replaced. The oiling tool can be either a manual oiling pump or grease gun.
Service Life of Raymond Mill's Roller >>
The rollers of Raymond Mill are wearing parts, so its life is close to their using environment, in general, roller able to use 15 days to 10 months, so we recommend that you periodically do a good job on these easily damaged pieces of maintenance and maintenance.
Raymond mill Maintenance and Repair:

3. After a period of usage, the equipment should be checked, to replace worn-and-torn parts such as rollers, rings and shovels. Be sure to fasten connecting-bolts, nut collars to fix rollers properly. Be sure to lubricate the parts sufficiently.
4. Roller should be replaced after 500-hours use. Check and wash bearings in them and replace broken ones, and then fill enough oil and grease (with oil-pump or grease-gun).
