SCM Super Thin Grinding Mill Application
SCM series super thin grinding mill is mainly applied to the powder processing of mineral products in industries of metallurgy, construction, chemistry, fertilizer and mining etc. The grinding mill can produce powder from non-flammable and non-explosive mineral materials with mohs hardness below 9 and humidity below 8%, such as calcite, chalk, limestone, dolomite, kaolin, bentonite, talcum, talc, magnesite, illite, pyrophyllite, vermiculite, sepiolite, attapulgite, rectorite, diatomite, barite, gypsum, alum earth, graphite, fluorite, variscite, potash ore, floatstone and so on.
SCM Super Thin Grinding Mill Components
SCM series super thin grinding mill consists of main unit, deceleration machine, blower, hammer crusher, dustpan elevator, electro-magnetic vibrating feeder, impulse dust cleaner, piping device, cyclone collector device, classifier, high-pressure motor and muffler.
SCM Super Thin Grinding Mill Working Principle
Big materials are crushed into smaller particles by hammer crusher. Then they are sent to store house by elevator. The electro-magnetic vibrating feeder sends the materials evenly to the middle of the upper dial. Under the function of the eccentricity, the materials scatter to the side of the circle and fall into the ring to be pressed, crushed and milled into pieces by rollers. After the first crush, materials fall into the second and the third layer. The pumping of the high-pressure centrifugal blower put the outside air into the machine. The coarse powder will be brought into the classifier.
The rotating turbine in the collector makes the coarse particles fall back for regrinding. The fine particles will come into the cyclone collector with the airflow and discharged by the discharging valve on the bottom of the collector. They are the final products. The airflow with little dust will be discharged through blower and muffler after being purified by the cyclone collector.

SCM Super Thin Grinding Mill Features >>
1. High efficiency. Under the same condition of finished particle size and power of motor, the output of thin grinding mill is 40% higher than airflow grinding mill and whisk grinding mill.
2. High using rate of the quick-wear part in same condition of material and finished particle size, the lifetime of the quick-wear part is longer than that of impact crusher and turbine crusher.
3. High safety. No axle tree or bolt is used in the grinding chamber, so there will be no worn out problem of bearing and sealing parts, and also no loose of bolts in the running of thin grinding mill.
4. Environmental protection. It will lighten pollution and noise by using dust cleaner and muffler, which achieves environmental protection requirement.
SCM Super Thin Grinding Mill Operation and Maintenance >>
During the using of grinding mill, some personnel shall be arranged to take responsibility of management. The operators must be qualified with the required technical knowledge. Before the installation of grinding mill, the persons related to the operation should receive technical training and fully understand the operating principle, performance and regulations of grinding mill.
In order to guarantee the Grinding mill in a normal working state, a safety operation system for the maintenance of grinding mill must be established. Only in this way can the Grinding mill be guaranteed to have a long-term and safe operation. Meanwhile, it is necessary to have the required repairing tools, lubricant and grease, spare parts and accessories.
To make grinding mill normal operation and maintenance, the choice of lubricants, use, and storage is very important. Because of the lubricants, we can avoid direct contact with the surface of grinding mill parts and reduce friction, wear and tear. While taking advantage of thermal conductivity of the oil, the heat generated by friction can be passed. So it should be kept clean and a certain degree of viscosity of lubricating oil, when ensuring adequate and smooth flow.
If you need to stop grinding mill for a longer time, you should pour the balls out, to avoid the tube bend. In cold areas, such as in winter, you should release bearing cooling water in order to avoid frost crack.
Installation and Test of SCM Super Thin Grinding Mill >>
1. There should be a lifting facility with the capacity above 2 tons. The height of lift should not below 6 meter.
2. There should be a reinforced concrete for main unit and blower. There is no need of reinforced concrete for double cyclone collector and impulse duster, but you should make a hardened ground for them, and fix them with expanding bolts.
3. The contacting flange for each pipe should be parallelization, and put the resilient sealing pat, rubber, or glass sealant between the flanges.
4. The diameter of electric wire should be matched with each motor’s rated current.
5. After finishing the equipment installation, you should first check if there is bolt, nut or some other something in the machinery.
6. Firstly, you make each machine run slowly by hand, after you feel it works normal, you can start electric motor.
7. Run each machine separately to check that there is something wrong with the switch.
8. Referencing the sketch two, check the rotating direction of blower, classifier and main unit.
9. Start the blower and check pipes and their joints to see if there is air leakage. The whole system is running under the negative pressure, and the air is absorbed form outside, if there is a leakage on the pipes or their joints, it will low the capacity or even stock the main unit. So, it is necessary to check it seriously.
10. Fix all the fastenings.
11. Adjust the motor coupling, and the proper alignment of main coupling is Φ0.05mm.
12. The level of framework and motor bottom is 0.065mm.
